Ok so here it is, me PVPing in Protection Raid Spec. It's hard as hell, and there are some classes that you just can't kill no matter how good you are or not. This video has almost no editing, this is the real deal, no highlights, just fights. This is a full length BG, which means I did not cutting of my bad moments, I only speeded up the dead times.

Well then I'll give it a shot at this quality, but correct me if I've seen things wrong :).
First I want to say that I don't claim I'm outstanding at PvP, nor that I know everything etc. So please don’t think I’m trying to tutor you or anything, I just like to talk about it A LOT.
I always liked my warrior with all specs, but my favourite remains protection in PvE and PvP. I think I can say that I have quite some experience at playing protection in all aspects of the game. It’s awesome that people try to bring protection more in PvP.
At this moment it seems like you’re mashing the shield slam button as much as you can and try to put some decent dps with that, well it’s not a bad tactic (although the dps lacks a bit in comparison to the other classes) but you can play it better I think.
First it looks like you’re always in Battle Stance, which limits your capacities as a prot warrior a lot. Defensive stance is your friend in pvp, you have 10% less damage which is especially handy against those casters and you gain acces to one of my favourite warrior pvp skills: Revenge. I checked your armory and saw you don’t have that improved yet, if you want to continue this protection PvP thingy I strongly advice you to get it instead of the improved sunder armor (since devastate includes the sunder armor effect now, you won’t be using it that much I guess). Improved revenge is great, although the diminishing returns kick in rather quickly and are shared with your concussion blow’s stun. Vs warriors and rogues you can use revenge everytime it’s up, and not only does it give you a chance to stun the opponent its damage isn’t that bad either for just 2 rage and it gives you something to push when Shield slam is on CD. The fun thing with revenge stun is that you can nail locks and hunters with it because of their pet hitting you. Rogues, warriors and enchancement shamans are easy victims too. The other fun defensive stance skill is disarm (but don’t waste talents improving it), especially against those rogues, retri pala’s and warriors (since the weapon mastery change you can disarm them again, though shorter), and you should use it more often to get even less melee damage.
True defensive stance gives you 10% less damage dealing too, but that doesn’t compare to the advanges in my opinion.
The skills you don’t seem to use a lot in battle are Shield Bash and Spell Reflect. In the case of spell reflect I have to admit that I don’t use it often either since the high rage cost, but when you’re in some Frost Nova it’s often the only thing you can do. Defensive stance is a plus in Nova’s too, you can’t do anything so take off 10% of that damage by switching stances.
Shield Bash is awesome in pvp, especially improved (I saw you have 1 talent in it in your build, try to tinker some to get it full), since you can keep those casters silent with it preventively (is that even a word?). When I’m playing bg’s with some friends I often use the charge-shield bash-revenge (if possible)-concussion blow-intimidating shout-intercept-shield bash Combo to keep a healer silent for a looong time. Even though I don’t do lots of damage with that, he isn’t giving heals either.
I saw you have one other stance in every stance in your bar on the last button, but this limits your options of changing from one stance to any other I think. Try to put your stances on three non-used buttons (I have them on the delete home pg up buttons if I’m not mistaking) this even gives you a free slot in every stance for some other skill.
I can go on like this all day, but I’ll leave it here. If you don’t agree please comment =).
But ofcourse the most important thing is you have fun while doing it, I love to give those arrogant rogues or locks some good old spanking with my shield.
As you already noticed I’m not English so please excuse me for my language mistakes.
You are absolutely right about the Shield Slam Bashing, I tried switching to defensive stance more often after reading through your comment and it works a lot better indeed, very good tip.
Unfortunately respeccing is not an option for me, because I must maintain my Raid Tank Spec, one of my objectives is to be Effective at PVP while maintaining my PVE spec. And I use improved Sunder Armor because Devastate Also benefits from it, reducing it's cost by 3 rage.
I also started using the Intercept stun which I was neglecting a little and that also helps. But when all is said and done there's no way I can take out a healer (or someone being healed).
Thanks for your comment :)
